First and foremost, Tess dipped into her earnings as a piano teacher, and made a major decision which will definitely enhance her evolving photography skills. She upgraded her current digital camera with this one....
I am unbelievably jealous of this great camera!
The photos she has taken with this camera are stunning. She particularly loves to shoot close-ups, and this model does the job beautifully...or I should say SHE does the job beautifully. Hopefully we will post some of those photos very soon.

We never made it home before she began shooting....
She was able to find such a great deal at Wolf Camera that she was also able to buy a new iPod Shuffle, to replace the one which recently gave up the ghost. It will arrive on the 25th and she can't wait!
We continued on with Bill's Hot Dog Summer this week. This time we ventured to Hippo's in Elk Grove.
Years ago Bill and I (along with newborn Christopher) went to Hippos when it was located in Hoffman Estates. Sigh...the journey to Elk Grove seems to have taken its toll. Bill and I gave the hot dogs there barely a grade of "C-"....
...they just were not good. Though Mollie liked the hot dog bun, and Tess thought it was okay.
What a big disappointment! We soothed our sorrow with ice cream from Culver's, so in the end, all was well.
Lastly, Tess had another scheduled band concert at lovely North School Park...
...before dinner, she went over the scheduled line-up one last time....
...when the sky turned dark, and the rains came in droves....
Oh well! She still has two more outdoor summer concerts scheduled for August. Perhaps the weather will cooperate then....keeping our fingers crossed.
