Fuego Mexican Grill......A Fabulous Dinner with My Family

Christopher was kind enough to invite all of us to dinner at Fuego Mexican Grill in town this past Friday night to celebrate his recent promotion to a new, exciting position at the library.

Dinner at Fuego

He is now the library's Applications Specialist which means different and interesting responsibilities for him to explore. Congratulations Christopher!!

We were thrilled to finally be able to dine at this marvelous restaurant. One of the highlights of the evening was the preparation of our very fresh Guacamole appetizer right at our table. I made very sure to watch each step in the making of this delicious dish, and I do believe I will soon reproduce this amazing dish at home.

Thanks Christopher for a wonderful meal, great company, and an invaluable cooking lesson.

Biggest Pizza Slice Known to Man.......

No....this is not a joke slice of pizza.
Tess with Bacci Pizza
It is just a regular slice from the terrific Bacci Pizza Express.

Where else can you find a slice of pizza this enormous PLUS a can of soda for $3.75???

Quite a bargain...plus it makes me laugh every time I see it.

A Full Day...

There are days when hours pass, day is done, nothing has happened. Others are filled with a great variety of full, treasured moments. This was such a day.

Mollie worked with one of her harp students...

...while I worked in the gardens, tidying up for fall. Some perennials are at their most beautiful during these last few months before winter sets in...

Robin came by for a rehearsal with the girls. They will play together at the end of September, at CJ Arthur's restaurant, where Robin and Will perform on a regular basis. The girls are thrilled, and honored, to be invited to work with these great musicians. Gardening while listening to their gentle, haunting piano, harp, and flute pieces was paradise.

Later, the girls spent time learning map reading, and math with Bill. The girls asked Bill if he would help them out with these skills and I know that they enjoyed it, as they were gone for hours!

Learning New Things

Meanwhile, I baked a batch of Brownies....

....Christopher, just back from work at the library, worked on a project for his class at Harper....

...and Max relaxed before starting off to work at the library. He put in a busy day with school at Harper, and a quick clothes shopping trip to Woodfield Mall with Bill.
