Hot Dogs, a Bit of Thrifting, and the "Mane Event" in Town

The great Hot Dog Summer continues...this time we feature Big Sammy's in Elk Grove Village....
Big Sammy's
The place was hopping even at nearly 2PM, so I can imagine that the lunch hour rush is truly a busy one. The prices were very reasonable, but it was awfully hot in the restaurant....

Our hot dog rating team gave Sammy's hot dogs a B average...I gave it a C-...

We also did a little thrifting today. Nothing too exciting.
I found an interesting sewing notion...
Magic Stitcher
...two aprons...
Thrifted Aprons
...and a little something for the kitchen cabinet...nice graphics on this bottle.

We ended our day with a walk to downtown Arlington Heights for the Mane Event, which jump starts the Arlington Million, a huge Arlington Racetrack event this coming weekend.
At the Mane Event
Christopher worked a table sponsored by the library...

...and there were lots of tables and tents featuring our local businesses and restaurants. And let's not forget....
Shuttle For Sale
...not a sign you see everyday.

As for the rest, there were lots of crowds, pricey food and drinks, but as always, it's fun to be out and about with Bill and the girls on a Friday night in August.
