Bill, the girls and I took a ride to Wauconda today for a long overdue visit to the museum in Lake County. Though small, it is a lovely museum, with beautiful grounds and good visual and tactile exhibits.
The main exhibit this time around was all about fishing...not really our cup of tea...but fun none the less. I think one of our favorite parts of the museum is the vast postcard collection displayed and archived there.
We even managed to find a postcard of our much loved Jack Benny!
And not to forget, the "Roller Coaster Ride" video that tells an interesting story about Lake County...always a fun part of the visit there.
We packed a picnic and sat by the lake before roaming around the museum.
The girls topped this off with a swim in the pool and a viewing....again...of the fabulous movie "Rebecca". A simple and peaceful day.
